Install the real-time OS on the PXI target

  1. On the Host PC, open NI MAX.
  2. In MAX, navigate to the remote system and expand it. ../image/max-remote-system-pxi-target-controller.png
  3. Right-click Software and select Add/Remove Software.../image/max-add-remove-software-menu.png
  4. In the Log in dialog box, enter the default credentials.
    • User name: admin
    • Password: (leave blank)

  5. In the Real-Time Software dialog box, select Base System Image.../image/max-base-system-selection.png

  6. Select the Linux RT System Image compatible with your VeriStand version and click OK.../image/max-real-time-os-selection.png
  7. Click Format to being installing the software on the real-time target.
